The Flip side of the coin

After seeing how drunk people can get and the trouble they caused after, I really don't wanna be in that situation anymore.
Sure I like to drink and I most probably will continue to do so, the trick is to control it.

But seriously I really don't ever wanna cause that much trouble to my friends.

Still it was a good lesson for me on a Xmas eve...

Materialism

I've paid off the bank loan. And that's that.

But then I began to think about how I could use the (extra) money now. I was/am tempted to have a credit card. Everyone around me has them. Even the boys have them.
I think I'm the only oddball around that still does not have one.

But it also got me thinking: have I thrown away my roots? Have I forgotten how to be patient and humble?

I should be ashamed of myself.

Miffs of Working Life

1) Everyone's a critic.
Sure, go ahead and criticise it Every other person did it. What makes you think we didn't? What makes you think you can override the-power-that-be's decision?
Are you able to offer a better alternative? Are you able to come up with another solution?
If not, please refrain from pointing the finger at us.

2) Nothing's absolute.
You can tell me one thing now. Some time later, another side of the story is told. And I am required to act on the info that is given to me. You can't blame me if I doubt your words at times.

3) Appearances VS Reality
It's an open secret that my job is useless. They can easily do away with my post. But yet I have to act busy. Which is something that I've utterly failed during this period when she's away. No wonder the comments are coming in.
The most revealing were all the comments that she made. But then again I've got to stop going to her room so often.. My fault for that.

'Tis over?

He's going away for a year. And he told her that.
Guess now she'll really have to accept it.

But from this Bangkok fiascio and everything else, it can be seen that she's still quite manipulative in some ways. It's quite scary at times. From WS's account and from my own interactions.

I should be thanking my lucky stars that at the end of the day, I'm not the one who's going. I can't muster the energy and emotions to keep her entertained. It was bad enough that she called me up in office crrying non-stop.

Thanks gal, owe you a huge favour for stepping in.

Family Day

It was quite fun actually, staying over at PLC. It was a first of many sorts but tiring, especially after the all-nighter...

Volunteered my services, went in early on Friday. Sat on a Land Rover for the first time. Became the official photographer for the event and had lots of laugh in the process. But I pitied LS for having to stick with AC and kids even on the SDC thing. The few of us just ran at the first opportunity. =p

Oh well, it's coming monday. The good thing is that she's not back until Dec 25th... =)
